Q: How does this program work?
A: Its simple. Instead of checking your credit, and measuring you based on your credit history, all we ask is that you build a little credit history with us by paying a small, one-time initial payment and 52 weeks of layaway payments. However; once you’ve paid as agreed for just 6-13 consecutive weeks, we’ll offer to finance* the balance of your purchase price, order your computer and have it shipped directly to your home.
Q: Is this a used, refurbished or clone computer?
A: No way! This is a BRAND NEW, BRAND NAME computer. It is fully guaranteed for at least year on parts and labor. We don't sell used equipment of any kind. Your computer comes with the latest software and Intel® processors.
Q: Does BlueHippo make the computers?
A: BlueHippo doesn't make computers - we just make the payments easier. We have relationships that let us offer brand name merchandise made by the most recognizable names in the industry.
Q: Will I qualify if I have had credit problems?
A: Yes. We do not judge you based on your credit. In fact, you will never be turned down because of your credit. You build your credit with us by making layaway payments towards your purchase prior to its shipping.
Q: Can payments be made early to receive the computer quicker?
A: Yes, you can authorize additional payments at any time by simply calling our office. We will then draft your account for the extra amount you authorize. Go to customer service page now
Q: Will I own the computer after one year?
A: Absolutely - you will OWN a brand new computer, provided you make all of the payments as agreed, after only 1 year. This is NOT is a Rent-to-Own plan or a lease - you will own the computer.
Q: What if I have questions about my computer?
A: When you purchase a computer from us, you will have at least 1 year of toll-free technical support included at no additional charge. Give Customer Service a call and they will help answer any questions you may have about your BlueHippo® account.
Q: Is the computer Internet ready?
A: Yes! Your computer system comes standard with a 10/100 Network Adapter (for cable modem and DSL service). And with Microsoft Windows Vista® creating a new Internet account is easy.
Q: Is my personal information secure when I order at BlueHippo.com?
A:Absolutely! We use SSL to encrypt your data (like most reputable sites). Protecting our customer's financial information is not optional - it's critical. Our technological infrastructure was built with this in mind so that all of your personal information is highly secure within our network.
Q: Will my positive payments show up on my credit report?
A: Yes! We can report your positive payment history to the credit bureau. A positive payment history with us can help build or rebuild your credit rating.
Q: Can I cancel if I change my mind?
A: Yes, you can cancel your account at anytime before we order your computer from the manufacturer. Customers who cancel within seven days of ordering their product receive a complete cash refund. Customers who cancel after this seven-day period receive a refund in the form of store credit that can be used on dozens of electronics and other items at the BlueHippo.com online store.
